This approach is developed by Dr Betty Edwards (California State University, Long Beach) based on psychobiologist Roger W. Sperry's Nobel Prize winning research on human brain-hemisphere. She wrote the famous book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain in 1979, and has developed an intensive workshop successfully teaching thousands of students to draw.

Dr Edwards also points out that drawing is a global skill requiring a set of basic components. Once we have learnt the components and have integrated them, we can draw automatically. Everyone with average eyesight and eye-hand coordination can draw. Please also browse www.drawright.com.
